Official Now: Aston Martin working on two new supercars

Aston Martin CEO Tobias Moers has held a little press conference after unveiling the DBX707 and confirmed that the Valhalla hybrid was underway to the market – albeit coming a bit late.

The company had originally planned to launch the part-electric Valhalla in mid-2023, but had to postpone it until 2024. The supercar will be based on the same V8 engine as the Vanquish, which is due out in 2025 or later. The engine churns out 750 PS (740 hp / 552 kW) on the Valhalla and receives assistance from dual electric motors for a combined output of 950 PS (937 hp / 700 kW) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque.

As for the Vanquish model mentioned above, it will be an entry-level mid-engine supercar running on hybrid power. Aside from this, Moers confirmed the rumors that the Lagonda name was coming back. The company plans to use the name for its new EV line, and the first Lagonda EV is scheduled to debut in 2025 with around 600 km (373 miles) of driving range.
