Powered by a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 pumping out 1,014 PS (1,000 hp / 746 kW), the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro is an insanely powerful and fast track weapon. Thanks to YouTuber JWW, we may now look at the extreme hypercar being taken to its very limits by none other than Nico Hülkenberg, famous pilot of the Aston Martin Formula One team.
Following a short introduction, the author of the video gets inside the car with the Hülkenberg already waiting at the steering wheel. The next three minutes of action are blissfully free from any distracting background music or conversation – you get to see an acclaimed F1 racer squeezing every last bit of power and downforce from his ride on the Silverstone track. The engine sound alone is a sheer pleasure for anyone with more than a passing interest in cars.
Speaking in the video, Hülkenberg admits that the Valkyrie AMR Pro comes precariously close to the level of performance of F1 racecars, especially in terms of downforce and power-to-weight ratio.
Aston Martin will only be making 40 AMR Pro units, so whether we will ever get to see another such car put through hell is an open question. Be sure to watch the video in full!
