A peek into the future from Aston Martin

The renowned British prestige car manufacturer Aston Martin has officially introduced the next generation supercar named Vantage. The newest addition to the brand is a brilliant successor of the tradition set forth by DB11. Its interior is especially designed to look like that of DB10, the car many moviegoers associate with James Bond and the movie Spectre.

On the outside the Aston Martin Vantage looks both sporty and aggressive with its enormous radiator grille. The car is built around the (much improved) version of the DB11 aluminum chassis. Compared to its predecessor, Vantage has lost quite a bit of weight – the new coupe weighs only 1,530 kilograms (~3,370 pounds).

The hood of the supercar houses a 4.0-liter V8 engine by Mercedes-AMG. It is rated at 510 hp and has a torque of 685 Nm. According to official brand representatives, Aston Martin Vantage “shoots” from zero to 100 kmph (60 mph) in mere 3.6 seconds and peaks out at 314 kmph (195 mph).

The car will enter the U.S. market early next year with a minimum price tag of $149,995.
