The renowned British luxury car maker Aston Martin announced that more than 80 percent of their next-generation Vantage coupes scheduled for release in 2018 has already been sold out. Apparently, buyers weren’t deterred by the $149,995 price tag.
As we told in an earlier news, the Vantage sports vehicle come with a potent 4.0-liter V8 engine designed by Mercedes-AMG. With its 510 HP and 685 Nm torque, it takes mere 3.6 seconds for the car to bolt to 100 km/h (or 60 mph). Its top going speed is manufacturer-limited at 314 km/h (or 195 mph).
The new addition to the family is built around a heavily reworked version of the DB11 platform. The company also prepares a dedicated racing modification of the car, the Aston Martin Vantage GTE.
