Aston Martin Vantage F1 Edition breaks cover with more power and equipment

Shortly after teasing a new Aston Martin Vantage special, the British carmaker has unveiled it completely.

The Vantage F1 Edition benefits from a 25 PS (25 hp / 19 kW) boost to its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. The mill now churns out 528 PS (521 hp / 388 kW) along with the same 685 Nm (505 lb-ft) of peak torque, and the eight-speed automatic gearbox rocks optimizations that help it switch faster.

The limited batch ships with its own 21-inch wheels wrapped in Pirelli low-profile tires. Its aero kit grants it up to 200 kg (440 lbs) of downforce at higher accelerations.

Like the safety car shown shortly before it, the F1 Edition comes painted green, but you can specify Coal Black or Moon White if you’d rather go monochrome.

Pre-orders are already open at £142,000 for the coupe and £162,000 for the roadster version.
