Few people nowadays would dare repurpose a racer into a street-worthy supercar – not when both markets offer abundant options – but Japan-based ACR Performance thought nothing of it.
The tuning company wanted a show car, so it purchased a gorgeous Aston Martin Vantage N24 and encased it in an all-custom carbon fiber body kit wrapped in camouflage. The list of replacements included both bumpers, side sills, spoilers at both ends, side canards, the front splitter and the rear diffuser. We are told that a ducktail rear wing is on its way, too.
Hidden beneath the flashy exterior is a lightweight aluminum chassis with a full-size safety cage welded onto it. The cabin greets the viewer with racing seats, six-point harnesses and zero noise insulation. Stripping a car clean like this usually takes a lot of work, but this Vantage shipped like that straight from the factory. Speaking of modifications, the tuner had to replace OEM wheels with 20-inch Vossen VPS-315T rollers for street compliance. He still keeps a set of 18-inch OZ Racing wheels around in case there is an FIA GT4 championship he would like to participate in.
Replacements in the engine bay were more extensive and included cylinder heads, the crankshaft, pistons and connecting rods, among other things. A dry sump system was implemented, a less loud exhaust installed and an automatic fire extinguisher added for safety.
How do you like the result?
