Aston Martin will introduce the next-gen Vantage supercar and its GT3 track counterpart on Monday, February 12. According to Motor1, the GT3 has already taken art in a Daytona race in the USA wearing the company’s signature colors.
Note that the exterior design may end up being very different between the street-legal and the racing version. Still, some conclusions cam be made. A look at the images reveals a reshaped radiator grille and strongly flared fenders (exactly like in the teaser posted earlier). The side mirrors will likely be simplified for the road-going version, and the large rear wing will probably be omitted altogether. The same may end up being true for the vented hood with its massive air intakes.
While the Vantage GT3 may look finalized to you, it does have some camouflage on. Notice how the body trim partially overlaps the headlights: it’s done deliberately to conceal the true shape of the lights.
In its racing spec, the new Vantage packs a 4.0-liter V8 and hits the transmission with 608 PS (600 hp / 447 kW) or so. The “civilian” counterpart will likely get the same engine, but its power rating remains to be revealed. Aston Martin said it would be the fastest Vantage model in history, so we expect a reasonable boost.
