Museum-kept Audi wagon on sale for a song in the UK

This 32-year-old Audi 100 2.0 E Avant with 76,600 kilometers (47,600 miles) under its belt and only one past owner can be yours for mere £7,995, or $10,100 USD.

Audi UK purchased the estate for its Audi Cherished fleet of historically important vehicles seven years ago. Before that, a resident of Coventry, who bought it new, had taken utmost care of it for more than two decades.

The museum followed suit, so the vehicle is nearly pristine. The seller claims finding a similar example with not too many miles on it and a background like that would be nearly impossible, and we are inclined to agree.

Powering the rare Audi 100 is a petrol five-cylinder engine mated to an automatic transmission and rated at 115 PS (113 hp / 85 kW). Equipment on board includes power windows, heated power mirrors, a roof hatch, and a Blaupunkt radio.

Audi produced 122,800 third-generation wagons like this one in 1982 through 1991, shipping them with a variety of engines.
