ABT increases output, wheel size of the Audi SQ2

The Audi SQ2 is not a particularly popular car model, whether among buyers or tuners. The ‘warmed-up’ mini-SUV has little character overall and isn’t particularly impressive in terms of the price vs. features ratio, either. Thankfully, ABT Sportsline decided to spruce things up a bit.

The car comes equipped with a 2.0-liter TFSI engine rated at 296 horsepower (221 kilowatts) and 400 Newton-meters (295 pound-feet) of torque. Some minor tweaking on behalf of ABT gets it to 345 hp (257 kW) and 440 Nm (325 lb×ft) of torque, reducing the standard sprint time by two tenths of a second to 4.6 s.

The upgrade also removes the 250 km/h (155 mph) speed limit, but don’t hold your breath: the top speed likely won’t go beyond 262 km/h (163 mph) under the best conditions, anyway.

Aside from the power boost, ABT Sportsline suggests ditching the lackluster stock wheels in favor of an aftermarket set of black alloys either 20” or 22” large. These ship bundled with spacers, enabling you to fine-tune the wheel positions inside their respective arches.
