There are cars out there that seem to shout, ‘Tune the hell outta me!,’ and then there are cars that look and feel just about right. Customizing the latter is a hit-or-miss affair at best. The Audi Q8 seems to fall into the latter category: while hardly the prettiest crossover SUV around, it still has plenty of charisma straight from the factory. Despite this, German tuner Lumma Design decided to take the risk and tweak it a bit further.
The team came up with a brand-new body kit called the Lumma CLR 8S. Included are wheel arch and side sill extensions, sporty-looking splitters at both ends, a couple spoilers and a downright weird hood add-on. Considered as a whole, the set would have probably looked better on a different vehicle, but it sticks out like a sore thumb on the Audi Q8.
The tuner also ships two wheel sets with the package, a 22-inch one with ten elegant spokes and a huge 24-one with a matte-black finish. Regardless of which one you choose, the rear pair is going to be larger than the front one, which once again feels like a dubious decision.
Lumma does not reveal the pricing of its CLR 8S package, but mentions that all customers are welcome to order an interior makeover or a performance boost along with it.
