Audi promises ‘revolutionary’ design for its upcoming Landjet model

The luxury electric vehicle provisionally known only as the Landjet is currently in development by Volkswagen Group for Audi, Bentley, and Porsche, Audi Head of Design confirmed in an interview.

He said we should ‘forget what has been’ and prepare ourselves to something entirely new and unconventional. He never provided any details with relation to the exterior styling, leaving us guessing whether the ride is anything like the Audi Aicon Concept from three years ago (look inside our gallery and watch the video for more).

Being a pure battery vehicle, the Landjet may offer three seat rows for seven passengers total. It may even turn out larger than the A8 sedan while having the same basic dimensions. Regardless of its interior layout, is will be a tri-space vehicle marketed as the rival of the Tesla Model S, rather than X.

Of the three automakers slated to receive the blueprints for production, Audi will be the first, and it the launch is expected in around four years.
