Audi has shared a teaser image previewing the grandest of its Sphere Concepts, which is set to debut live on September 2, 2021.
The four-door coupe dubbed Grandsphere is once again shown from above, but this time around, the roof no longer prevents us from seeing a panoramic window, a rear bench and an illuminated armrest between the front seats.
The design study will not go on sale as is, but an all-electric flagship will be developed with it as the starting point. The spacious cabin will offer the most comfort to those sitting in the front row, as the seating formula is going to be fixed at 2+2. Note how few hardware controls there are.
Other than saying that the car supports an SAE Level 4 self-driving system, Audi has not given us any further details. A little while ago, it introduced another concept called the Skysphere, which came equipped with an extensible wheelbase and an engine capable of 623 PS (614 hp / 458 kW). Yet another prototype named the Urbansphere will follow later, but there is nothing being revealed about it aside from the self-evident fact that it is an urban SUV.
