Audi and Porsche ex-employees reveal Indigo Flow Concept

Startup firm Indigo Technologies has come to the CES show in Las Vegas with a battery-powered concept van named the Flow. Co-designed by former Audi and Porsche professionals, it comes in two flavors – passenger and commercial – sporting innovative interior layouts.

The driver’s seat is located at the front center position. The steering wheel has three spokes and offers touchpad controls, while the digital dashboard is surrounded with additional displays. The passenger version of the van has two rear seats, a panoramic roof and side windows. Giant sliding doors enable easy getting in and out.

The design study rides on motorized wheels, freeing interior space of the transmission tunnel and resulting in a low, completely flat floor. Each wheel produces 30 horsepower (23 kW) and 250 Nm (183 lb-ft) of torque. The suspension is active and power-assisted. A compact 40-kWh battery block is said to be enough for around 250 miles (400 kilometers) of range on a charge.

As is often the case with such projects, production prospects remain vague.
