The first public appearance of the much-anticipated 2018 Audi Q8 off-roader will occur at a special event in Shanghai this summer, a senior manager of the company announced. The vehicle will roll into showrooms in Europe with a minimum price tag of €110,000.
The new Audi Q8 is expected to inherit most of its features from a namesake concept which debuted a couple years ago. Two variants of the vehicle – regular and sport – were announced, so we can expect a performance version to be released as well.
Once out, the new Audi Q8 will primarily have to compete with the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe and the BMW X6. Industry professionals expect it to come with a variety of six- and eight-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines to choose from. A hybrid model is also a possibility.
