Audi Q8 to debut on June 5, 2018 in Shanghai, China

It looks like Audi doesn’t feel at home with the idea of giving its fans time to relax. The company today revealed new sketches and the premiere date of its flagship SUV model, the Q8.

Apparently, the next-generation Q8 series will celebrate its first public appearance in Shanghai, China on June 5, 2018. Audi promises to reveal several new teaser pics until then.

Based on what has been revealed, the vehicle takes after its namesake prototype which debuted last year. It is based on VW’s MLB platform – the same as the one used by Bentley Bentayga, Volkswagen Touareg, Lamborghini Urus, and Audi Q7.

The engine palette will consist of gasoline and diesel V6/V8 engines along with a single mild-hybrid option. A full-electric or a plug-in-hybrid Q8 might appear on the market at a later date.

Reportedly, the equipment of the next Audi Q8 will list some of the most advanced features and options the manufacturer has developed to date, with even the base trim delivering a spectacular amount of innovation.
