Audi said a few days ago that its RS Q8 crossover SUV will be getting a Porsche hybrid drivetrain. If true, the resulting SUV will be stronger than the Lamborghini Urus.
The drivetrain in question is the one that comes with the Porsche Panamera E-Hybrid Sport Turismo. It consists of a 4.0-liter gasoline engine with eight cylinders and an electric motor, and can produce up to 680 hp (507 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb·ft) of torque.
With a drivetrain like that, the new Audi RS Q8 is going to become the marque’s best-performing car to date, surpassing the Audi R8 V10 plus sports coupe armed with a 610-hp / 455 kW strong engine.
The hi-end SUV won’t just offer interior and exterior beautifications. It is also going to have a more up-to-date exhaust system, better brakes, and reworked suspension,
Once out, the car will have to stave off competition from the Range Rover Sport SVR, Mercedes-Benz GLE 63 Coupe and BMW X6 M, the manufacturer states.
The prices for the new Audi RS Q8 will be announced later.
