Audi reveals the interior of E-Tron

Audi has finally published some photos made in the interior of its E-Tron SUV. The all-electric vehicle will enjoy its first public appearance before the end of the year.

Based on the photos, the car gets cameras instead of the conventional side mirrors. The video stream from these cameras is being transmitted onto displays built into the doors. The driver can select among several display modes and zoom the picture in or out. However, if the manufacturer fails to convince the authorities of several countries that the innovative technology is safe enough for mass use, the vehicle will be released with normal side mirrors.

The Audi E-Tron has a fully digital dashboard and two huge displays on the central console. One of these is used as a climate control interface, while the other is connected to the multimedia. The same solution can be found in the latest А8, А7, А6 and Q8.

The battery-powered SUV will get two electric engines with 360 hp (268 kW) total output. Whenever the driver activates the Sport mode, a temporary performance boost to 400 hp (298 kW) becomes available. The vehicle will accelerate 0-100 km/h (60 mph) in six seconds and won’t go faster than 200 km/h (124 mph).

The Audi E-Tron will be able to travel up to 400 kilometers on a single battery charge, and replenish its energy reserves in just 30 minutes at a fast charging station.
