Audi has rolled out a new version of the A3 Sportback, the 45 TFSI e, which uses the same plug-in hybrid powertrain as the Volkswagen Golf GTЕ.
Powering the car is a 1.4-liter gasoline engine paired with an electric motor built into the transmission. The total output amounts to 245 PS (242 hp / 180 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft). Zero-to-100 km/h (0-62 mph) takes 6.8 seconds, and the top speed hovers close to 232 km/h (144 mph). Once fully charged, the battery grants up to 63 km (39 miles) of electric range.
Prices in Germany begin from €40,395. The base trim already includes tinted windows, red brake calipers, two-zone climate control, drive mode selector, and sport seats.
