The Audi Allroad lineup consists of slightly raised estate cars offering slightly improved performance on bad roads. The A4 and A6 are its traditional constituent parts, but if these spy shots and video are any evidence, the A3 may join the club soon.
The three-minute footage shows multiple Audi A3 prototypes driven outside, enjoying the last days of winter weather. There is not much camouflage going on, and what little there is largely resides on the front fascia and the rear end. The lower sides are also wrapped, suggesting that there could be a rugged plastic body kit. The same can be observed around the wheel arches.
The headlights and radiator grille look identical to the stock A3, but the ground clearance is much larger. There is also no ignoring the added roof racks. Audi stays silent so far, so we will just have to wait until an official announcement to find out what this model is called and when it will be released.
