Audi says goodbye to stick shift in the USA

The U.S. subdivision of Audi will discontinue the production of cars equipped with manual transmissions. A farewell series of just 40 vehicles, titled the Audi A4 Ultra sport, will be released in the nearest future.

The cars will be styled similarly to the S4 performance sedan series. Apart from the stick shift, each will feature LED headlights and a hi-end 3D sound system.

The Audi A4 Ultra sport will sport a unique grey lacquering never before seen on Audi cars. There will be occasional titanium parts used throughout the body, and the hood cover, the spoiler and the side mirror holders will all be made of carbon fiber.

The options list will include 19-inch wheels, adaptive suspension, sport seats, and pedal pads. The interior finishing will involve genuine leather, wash-leather and carbon. All of the above options will cost around U.S. $7,000.
