ABT empowers the Audi A5

Nearly a year after the debut of the Audi A5 facelift last fall, ABT Sportsline has finally got around to designing upgrades for it – and still has much left to do.

If you happen to own the 45 TDI spec that comes equipped with a 3.0-liter diesel V6, consider opting for a €2,515 power kit that will raise the output from 231 to 268 horsepower (from 172 to 200 kilowatts, respectively). The torque simultaneously receives a minor nudge from 500 to 540 Nm (370 – 400 lb-ft).

No kits are available for the two remaining 2.0-liter engines: the 40 TDI with its 190 hp (142 kW) and the 45 TFSI with 265 hp (198 kW). ABT says these are still in development.

Next in the list are coil-over springs that you can use to drop the ride height by between 15 and 40 mm (0.6” – 1.6”, €926/set). A carbon-fiber trunk lid spoiler will set you back €1,550, and a limited warranty on the components and their installation costs between €292 (12 months) and €877 (36 months).

As usual, ABT Sportsline offers a huge selection of wheels from its popular series: DR, ER-C, FR and GR. You can choose 19 or 20 inches in diameter, as well as any color and finish. Prices lie within the €2,719 - €3,811 range.

Rounding off the list are carbon fiber elements for the cabin, a new engine start button, and an ambient lighting feature that illuminates the surroundings of the car when the doors are open.

The full kit comes at €8,181.
