Audi A6 TFSI e quattro runs on electric power

Audi has debuted the electrified version of its next-gen A6 sedan/saloon. The car packs 367 horsepower (274 kilowatts) and has 53 km (33 miles) of battery range.

The powertrain consists of a 2.0-liter TFSI engine good for 252 hp (188 kW) and an electric motor adding 143 hp (107 kW) of its own, built into a robotic transmission. A lithium-ion battery rated at 14.1 kilowatt-hours sits in the trunk area.

The manufacturer claims the new Audi A6 doesn’t consume more than two liters of gas per 100 kilometers traveled (UK: 141 MPG; USA: 117 MPG). It sprints to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.6 seconds and maxes out at 250 km/h (155 mph).

The Audi A6 TFSI e quattro is already available in showrooms throughout Germany, with prices beginning from €68,850.
