The China-spec Audi A6 LWB received its mid-life refresh last summer, but the European lineup had stayed as it was until this week. One has to wonder why, because the scope of changes is the same.
Both the A6 and the A7 got to keep their bodywork with only minor modifications made to the plastic trim. You can tell the facelift version from the old one by its different radiator grille and DRLs, but that’s about it.
The A6 now ships with an optional package named Advanced, which replaces the outdated Design pack and brings along dark chrome accents. It also swaps the wheels out for 18-inch ones. The new S line package is available for both models and includes sportier suspension parts, a checkerboard grille, 19-inch rims and side sill extensions.
Although there are no cabin photos, the press release says the analog dash gauges are gone for good. A 12.3-inch digital dash is now standard for all trims, as is self-parking.
The technical aspect of the update remains undisclosed.
