After briefly announcing three ‘Sphere’ series concept cars, the German automotive giant has proceeded to shed some light on the Grand Sphere, a luxury sedan slated for premiere at the IAA Munich Expo in September 2021.
The car is expected to phase out the current A8 generation while giving a start to a whole new range of electric vehicles. The lack of an ICE engine makes its hood short and the wheelbase long enough for plenty of interior comfort. Audi says the cabin will be minimalistic, and there will be a host of driving aids. Among other things, the car will be able to recognize its owner and passengers and automatically apply their preferences.
Aside from the Grand Sphere, the company plans to unveil a coupe concept named the Sky Sphere next year, as well as a crossvan-like Urban Sphere.
