Audi A6 E-Tron slated for production in 2022

Speaking in a recent interview to Roadshow, an official representative of Audi let it slip that the company planned to launch production of the Audi A6 E-Tron as soon as the next year.

In all likelihood, the A6 E-Tron will be styled very close to its concept version revealed in early 2021 (look inside our gallery and watch the video for an overview). Buyers will also be offered an all-wheel-drive model equipped with dual electric motors jointly rated at 475 PS (468 hp / 349 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque.

While we don’t have any official specifications to quote for the production car, Audi stated earlier that the concept had around 700 km (435 miles) of WLTP-rated driving range. It could also replenish 300 km (186 miles) of range within ten minutes of charging from a rapid-charge terminal.

Another thing mentioned in the interview was the pending premiere of the new Q6 E-Tron, which is also scheduled for 2022.
