Audi has started production of its e-tron GT electric sedan in Neckarsulm, Germany. The same factory had produced the R8 supercar and received an upgrade in 2019 to switch to e-tron GT. Later on, both models will be made simultaneously there.
The Audi e-tron GT utilizes the advantages of the Premium Platform Electric (PPE), which the automaker co-designed with Porsche. Its dual motors churn out 590 PS (582 hp / 434 kW), and a full charge translates into around 400 kilometers (248 miles) of WLTP range.
Orders will be processed starting next spring, the company reports.
