In a recent two-minute video, the German automaker focuses on details of its new e-tron GT sports car set to premiere online on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. Pre-orders will start straight after the reveal.
The video also showcases the Neckarsulm factory, Audi’s most technologically advanced enterprise, where the e-tron GT has been produced since December.
The few glimpses we get of the car confirm that the four-door coupe will look identical to its concept version save for the (traditional) door handles and (larger) side mirrors. The concept car had dual motors and 590 PS (582 hp / 434 kW) total; it remains to be seen how powerful the final production version is.
Audi has also confirmed that a performance-packed RS version is underway. Rumors claim it will pack 684 PS (675 hp / 503 kW) and 830 Nm (612 lb-ft) of torque. Its traction battery will allegedly be able to store up to 84 kilowatt-hours of juice, which will translate into 400 km (248 miles) of range.
