Audi revises its e-tron naming conventions

Audi has confirmed that the e-tron and e-tron Sportback will be renamed after their facelifts. Both cars will debut on Wednesday, November 9 called the Q8 e-tron and Q8 e-tron Sportback, respectively.

The company revealed the first teaser pics taken during driving tests this spring, but it is only now that we see a photo of both cars without their camo. It is quite dark, but looks like neither has changed very much. The bumpers at both ends and the radiator grille are among the highlights.

It is also expected that both electric SUVs have received substantial upgrades to their motors, batteries and regenerative braking systems, primarily aimed at maximizing the driving range on a charge.

While the facelift will premiere soon, the next Audi Q8 e-tron generation isn’t expected until 2026.
