Audi premiered its 2021 Q2 crossover in September, but never revealed any powertrains specs – until now. As it turns out, the cars will initially ship in two versions: 35 TDI and 35 TFSI.
The latter packs 1.5-liters of displacement, 150 PS (148 hp / 110 kW) and 250 Nm (183 lb-ft) of torque. The base trim offers front-wheel drive and a six-speed stick shift, but you may pay extra to get a seven-speed DSG and AWD.
The 35 TDI comes with a more fuel-conservative diesel engine good for 150 PS (148 hp / 110 kW) and 360 Nm (266 lb-ft) of torque. The torque surplus translates into faster acceleration: the TDI version manages to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 8.2 seconds, while the TFSI needs 8.5.
According to Audi representatives, the entry-level Q2 will cost around €25,000 when it starts shipping with a 1.0-liter TFSI three-cylinder next year.
