Audi Q4 e-tron, Q4 e-tron Sportback reveal cabin on spy shots

The development of Ingolstadt’s next EVs – the Q4 e-tron and its slanted-roofed cousin Q4 e-tron Sportback – is in full swing. The company does not reveal much, but these spy photos should keep you invested in the meantime.

The duo was reportedly spotted testing on a public road in Germany. Both wore plenty of test mule camo, but there was no mistaking their telltale e-tron features. The most interesting part of the gallery is the interior, which contains a digital gauge cluster, a large central display, and a steering wheel borrowed from the larger Audi e-tron and E-tron Sportback models.

Both Q4s come based on the MEB platform. Details are scarce right now, but industry observers tend to believe that the entry specs will be RWD ones with a single rear-mounted electric motor rated at 148 hp (110 kW) or so. The battery is rumored to be rated at only 55 kWh, despite the earlier announcement by Audi that the concept had dual motors, over 300 hp (225 kW) and 82 kWh. Whichever the actual case, the driving range is estimated at 450 km (280 miles) according to the WLTP standard.
