Audi has posted a teaser pic showing the two upcoming e-SUVs – the Q4 e-tron and the Q4 e-tron Sportback – along with a promise to reveal both on next Wednesday, April 14.
Both crossovers use the MEB chassis you may have already seen underpinning the new Volkswagen ID.4 and a few other production EVs. The top powertrain will be rated at 306 PS (302 hp / 225 kW) and offer 450 km (280 miles) of range.
The Q4 e-tron is expected to be 4,590 mm (15.06 feet) long with 2,760 mm (9.06 feet) of wheelbase. If proven true, it would be larger than the Q3 and similar in wheelbase length to the larger Q5 model.
Compared to other VW Group vehicles, the Q4 e-tron will get its own exterior styling and interior trim. Higher trims are expected to ship with 10.25- and 11.6-inch displays, a HUD with Augmented Reality, an infotainment system with voice support, and an original console with a compact selector knob.
The Q4 e-tron Sportback should be largely identical except for the slanted roof.
