Someone has spotted a facelifted 2020 Audi Q5 running tests in a whirly black-and-white wrap.
From what little can be made out, the radiator grille now sports a coarse cellular pattern and is octagonal, rather than hexagonal like before. The headlights have been reshaped for an edgier look. Their contents look new, too.
The second generation of the crossover SUV came out three years ago and has gone through an engine range update since then. New additions included the SQ5 TDI (3.0 liters, 347 hp / 259 kW, 700 Nm / 516 lb-ft), 50 TFSI e (2.0L + electric, 299 hp / 223 kW, 450 Nm / 332 lb-ft), and 55 TFSI e (2.0L + electric, 367 hp / 274 kW, 500 Nm / 369 lb-ft). The entry-level turbo-four engine went down from 252 hp (188 kW) to 245 hp (183 kW) due to the new environmental norms.
The SUV will be the next in line after the A4 to get Audi’s latest 10.1-inch infotainment system, called the MIB 3. The MMI system, with its dedicated touchpad and controller, will soon become history.
The premiere date hasn’t been set yet, but should be expected around 2020.
