Up until recently, Audi has tried to keep its SUV range down to the bare minimum. Out of those, only the Q3 Sportback and the Q8 were coupe-shaped.
Things may change in the near future with the coming of the new Q5 Sportback, though. Rumor has it that the German automotive giant will unveil the car in the coming fall and equip it to compete against the likes of the BMW X4 and Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe.
If true, then the coupe-like SUV will probably inherit its entire engine lineup from the regular Q5. That said, a performance spec like SQ5 Sportback might appear if Audi decides to compete with the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43.
The rumored Audi Q5 Sportback should hit the market in the spring of 2021 or so. In the meantime, the regular Q5 is going through a facelift (see our gallery and the video).
