Audi’s newest all-electric SUV – the Q5 e-tron – has shown up on patent images submitted to the China Patent Office as part of the standard certification routine, along with some technical specs.
The model relies on the Audi concept Shanghai (see video) for inspiration and utilizes the same tech as the full-size SUV Volkswagen ID.6. Both have the same wheelbase length and power options. Specifically, it looks like the Q5 e-tron will be available in three modifications rated at 180, 204 and 306 PS (178, 201, and 225 hp; 132, 150 and 225 kW, respectively). The former two will be rear-wheel driven, while the latter will benefit from AWD.
Launch dates remain unannounced, but the Chengdu Auto Show coming up on August 27, 2021 appears to be timed perfectly for a premiere.
