Media have been tracking the progress of various Audi Q6 e-tron pre-production test vehicles since the spring 2021, but this is the first time we saw a coupe-SUV variant of it.
The car is wrapped in impervious camo concealing its true dimensions and styling cues, but there is little doubt that it is a Sportback vehicle. Like other coupe-like crossovers, it has a sloped roof and a smaller trunk, which inevitably comes with the form factor.
The traditional SUV-bodied Audi Q6 e-tron (see video) will be the first to premiere in late 2022, followed by its coupe counterpart later on. The model utilizes the PPE architecture underpinning the next Q8 e-tron.
On an interesting side note, the very fact that Audi designed a coupe-like Sportback EV may suggest that Porsche is working on a similar body style for its Macan EV. After all, the two share the same platform and drivetrain.
