Audi has shared more photos of its upcoming all-electric SUV, the Q6 e-tron, and shed light on some of its technical parameters. The full reveal remains scheduled for later this year.
The car still technically has a pre-production status and is depicted in a special wrap that does little to conceal the details. As such, we assume that the launch event is coming soon. In the meantime, you can take a closer look at the bumpers, the front grille and the lighting all around, as well as the body outlines in general.
Starting with the adaptive headlights, Audi advertises a feature called Active Light Signature that should take ‘adaptivity’ to a whole new level. As for the taillights, they consist of six OLED panels comprised of 60 light segments each and are individually controlled as interactive displays. You can either choose a light signature from the in-car default presets or download the myAudi app and select from a wider list.
Among other things, the Q6 e-tron is Audi’s first electric SUV running on PPE underpinnings and supporting 800-volt charging. It has a 100-kWh battery pack that takes less then 30 minutes to refill from 10 to 80 percent. The projected driving range is 600 km (373 miles).
In its most basic version, the SUV will get 375 PS (370 hp / 276 kW) from its e-motors, with an option for a brief boost to 396 PS (391 hp / 291 kW). The SQ6 e-tron will get 483 PS (476 hp / 355 kW) with a boost to 510 PS (503 hp / 375 kW). The top spec will sprint from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.5 seconds or so. Buyers will be able to choose from two body styles: traditional SUV and coupe-like Sportback.
