Diesel-powered Audi SQ7 debuts in Europe

Following the premiere of the 2019 Audi Q7 facelift a month ago, the diesel-powered SQ7 now gets its share of attention, too.

The update brings along quite a few appearance tweaks, but, if anything, these make the SQ7 look more like its younger sibling, the Q7. Telltale traits of the diesel flagship include faux-aluminum mirror caps and quad exhaust tips.

The tech stays the same, with the four-liter V8 still delivering 435 hp (324 kW) along with 900 Nm (664 pound-feet) of torque to the eight-speed automatic transmission and AWD system. Air suspension, sports-grade differential, rear wheel steering, and roll stabilization – all of the above is still present.

The interior of the crossover SUV now sports two sensor panels on the center console. The multimedia now has LTE, Wi-Fi, and voice control features. The car ships with bucket seats trimmed with leather/Alcantara combo by default, and there are occasional aluminum inserts to be seen in places. As usual, there are plenty of options and extras for those looking to spend extra coin.

Prices begin at €95,000 in Europe. Sales begin later this year in some countries and early next year in some others.
