Audi Q7 gets its second facelift in a decade

Audi has refreshed its largest crossover SUV on the lineup – the Q7. Like the Q8 before it, it received new light signatures and other purely visual tweaks, but no mechanical upgrades.

Buyers can now choose from four available light patterns both for the DRLs and the taillights. The differences between them are minimal, but it still strikes us a rare option by the modern market standards. Just keep in mind that you have to opt for pricey Matrix LEDs with Laser High Beams, as well as OLED brake lights in order to have a choice in the first place.

Other than that, there is a new radiator grille, different wheel options and exterior finishes, and that’s about it.

The same can be said about the engines. The old diesels rated at 231 and 286 PS (228 and 282 hp; 170 and 210 kW, respectively) are still available without any modifications. Same goes for the petrol options rated at 340 and 507 PS (335 and 500 hp; 250 and 373 kW). The latter is reserved for the sported-up SQ7 spec that sprints 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.1 seconds and has valves in the exhaust system for a juicier soundtrack.

Air-ride suspension comes included as standard, but you have to pay extra for 4WS, electro-mechanical sway bar and active rear differential.

Sales in Europe start in February–March. Prices on the domestic market begin from €79,300 for the Q7 and €112,000 for the SQ7.
