Audi RS Q8 Coupe scheduled for 2020, specs announced

The coupe-shaped Audi RS Q8 will emerge in November 2020, the manufacturer says.

The newcomer should make a worthy rival to the Italian-made Lamborghini Urus, despite packing only 600 hp (447 kW) against the 641 hp (475 kW) of the latter. The difference should prove small enough to consider the two as belonging to the same market niche.

It is also official that the coupe-shaped RS will get a seriously sported-up appearance, including both bumpers, the rear diffuser, the tailpipes, and the side body kit. The suspension will be tweaked for stiffness and lower ride height, and the wheels will become larger.

Inside, the seats will benefit from improved lateral support and a different trim adorned with RS badges. The driver will gain access to a few new drive modes, a 12.3-inch digital dashboard with RS graphics, and a high-end MMI entertainment center.

The pricing will be close to that of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coupe.
