The Audi Q8 will soon be available with two new hybrid powertrains in Europe, called the 55 and 60 TFSI e quattro. Both incorporate a 3.0-liter V6 rated at 340 hp (254 kW), an electric motor, an 8-speed A/T a 17.8-kWh battery.
The 55 TFSI spec hits the wheels with 381 hp (284 kW) at most and produces up to 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque. The 60 TFSI tops it with 462 hp (345 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft). The former has 45 kilometers (28 miles) of purely electric range and the latter has 47 km (29.2 mi).
Both variants are AWD by design, and the torque distribution favors the rear axle by default (40:60). Whenever the anti-skid system is engaged, it can choose to redirect up to 85% of the torque to the front axle or up to 70% to the rear one.
Pre-orders in Europe should launch soon. The less powerful hybrid starts from €75,351, while the high spec retails from €92,800.
