2024 Audi Q8 revealed ahead of Sept. 5 premiere

Audi has shared the first image of the facelifted Q8. The sketch shows the updated rear end of the five-year-old SUV and is accompanied by the full reveal date: September 5 (likely implying the IAA Munich 2023).

Information is scarce right now. Audi mentions new LED-based headlights and taillights, but that’s something you can see for yourself in the picture.

Another noteworthy promise is ‘wider customization opportunities’. This may mean that the new Q8 will receive the same taillight customization system as the Q6 e-tron. The latter comes equipped with six LED panels consisting of 60 light elements each, allowing owners to come up with exclusive light patterns for their SUVs.

Minor changes could be expected in the powertrain department as well. The engines will likely stay the same, but they may undergo some further optimization to reduce emissions and improve mileage.

Carscoops believes that the Q8 facelift will not arrive in the showrooms until 2024. In another few years, Audi plans to release the next generation of the SUV that may end up being the last one to still use an internal combustion engine.
