The Ingolstadt automaker keeps looking for a new owner for its industrial complex in Brussels, Belgium, but with no luck so far.
Audi had to revise its electrification plans a little while ago, leaving the assembly lines stalling. Reports came in from Belgium that both the Q8 e-tron and the Q8 Sportback e-tron were about to be taken out of production way ahead of schedule due to low demand.
Rumors that Audi struck a deal with China-based EV maker Nio have now been put to rest by the latter’s CEO William Li (a.k.a. Li Bin). Volkswagen Group has recently confirmed that it still has no plans for relaunching this factory. It looks like in the current climate, the sale may take a while.
