LCE High Performance is a German company that manufactures modern, street-legal replicas for the Audi Sport Quattro model from the 1980s. This video shows one such car cruising along the North Loop; rewind to 1:26 to see flames erupt from the exhaust system in slow motion.
The video comes with a pleasant engine soundtrack and turbocharger whine accompanied by the roar of the main engine.
LCE offers the replica in a number of modifications priced starting from €140,000. The base car is an Audi 80 Coupe, which receives a new body and other stylistic mods to look nearly indistinguishable from the retro racer.
In its most basic form, the car produces 223 PS (220 hp / 164 kW) and sends the torque to all four wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox. The axles, the differential, the brakes, the dashboard and the seats are taken for the project from the Audi S2 models made in the early 1990s.
