The worldwide famous Texan tuner must have remembered that it had been a while since it last worked with a German sports car, and produced this twin-turbo’d Audi R8 V10.
Despite being technically similar to the Lamborghini Gallardo and Huracan that get modded like this all the time, the R8 rarely enjoys a twin-turbo upgrade. This makes Hennessey’s R8 V10 Twin Turbo all the more welcome.
The scope of modifications encompasses installing racing-grade spherical turbochargers, a brand-new air intake system, a water-based intercooler, and a plethora of other mods. The result is more than 900 hp (671 kW) of peak engine output.
The sprint times complement the theoretical figures very well, indeed. Once tuned up, the R8 V10 zaps from standstill to 97 km/h (0-60 mph) in 2.6 seconds and covers a quarter of a mile in 9.8 seconds, accelerating to 233 km/h (145 mph) in the process.
According to Hennessey Performance, the boost kit is compatible with all Audi R8 models released since 2015.
