The latest YouTube video by Sport Auto shows mid-engined Audi and Porsche trying to outrace their overseas rival – the C8 Corvette Stingray – at the Hockenheimring. All three send the momentum to the rear wheels.
The Audi R8 RWD draws its power from a naturally aspirated V10 engine rated at 540 hp (400 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. The transmission is seven-speed DCT.
The Porsche 911 Carrera S packs a 3.0-liter opposite-six mill good for 450 hp (336 kW) and 530 Nm (391 lb-ft) of torque. It relies on its signature eight-speed PDK gearbox for gear switching.
The challenger from the other side of the Atlantic – the Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray – utilizes a 6.2-liter LT2 V8 engine rated at 502 hp (375 kW) and 637 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. It uses an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission design, too.
