R8 Green Hell Edition reminisces about Audi’s Nürburgring victories

Audi has launched a special edition of its R8 sports car themed after the dreaded North Loop of the Nürburgring. The company has much to reminisce about in conjunction with the track where it has claimed so many endurance race prizes.

The special R8 wears a racecar livery with black skirts, rear wing, mirrors, roof parts and air intakes. The rest is green. The inside space sports leather trim on the front fascia and the doors, while Alcantara covers the bucket seats and the steering wheel.

Standard features include carbon-ceramic brakes, lightweight seats and a high-end audio system.

Powering the exclusive series is the familiar 5.2-liter V10 capable of 620 hp (462 kW) and 580 Nm (428 lb-ft) of torque. Getting from zero to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) is a matter of 3.1 seconds, and the top speed lies at 331 km/h (205.7 mph).

The R8 Green Hell Edition emerges in a batch of 50 units priced starting from €234,000.
