Audi R8 output gets cranked to 830 PS

The current Audi R8 generation is almost ready to retire, with the nostalgic among us having the option of buying the R8 V10 GT Edition limited to 333 units. However, it is not exactly a steal with a €225,000 sticker in Europe. VF Engineering proposes a tempting alternative: get a stock car and have it extensively tuned.

The main upgrade offered by the company is a high-end supercharger kit said to be better than conventional twin-turbo setups. It is based on an Eaton TVS2300 supercharger and squeezes the ten-banger for 830 PS (819 hp / 610 kW) and nearly 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque.

The package includes an alloy manifold and a dedicated cooling system, ensuring that the boost pressure stays consistent throughout the entire RPM range for smoother driving.

It is unclear how much the new upgrade costs, but earlier 800-horsepower kits (in the two videos below) can be had for U.S. $31,995. Another $3,000 gets you a nice green body coat. Further options include carbon-fiber aero bits and HRE Performance wheels.
