Carwow has once again pitted two Audis against each other. An RS6 Avant Performance went up against an open-topped R8. In case you missed it, the latter model is officially on its way to retirement.
A 4.0-liter turbocharged V8 powers the RS6 Performance with around 630 PS (621 hp / 463 kW) ad 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque. The whole car weighs 2,090 kg (4,608 lbs) and takes advantage of the company’s signature Quattro AWD.
The R8 relies on a naturally aspirated V10 with 620 PS (612 hp / 456 kW) and 580 Nm (428 lb-ft) of torque for propulsion. Granted, it’s a bit less than what the RS6 has, but the Spider compensates for that with a relatively low curb weight of 1,695 kg (3,737 lbs). It also has four driven wheels.
Three races were held in total. Watch the video to see how the two lined up.
