Audi has posted a teaser showing a stylishly camouflaged R8 and confirmed that the limited edition will make its debut next Tuesday, September 12.
The rear end can be seen wearing a modest-sized rear wing from the Audi-Sport list of aftermarket accessories. Other than that, judging by this image alone, the upcoming special edition is not that different from stock.
The Ingolstadt carmaker plans to remove the R8 from production completely in 2024. It has already shown us what looked like a ‘farewell edition’: the $251,395 Audi R8 GT came out in a production batch limited to 150 units. You can find it in the attached video. Apparently, it was not the last R8, after all.
