Two posh Audi R8 vehicles had made their way to an exclusive photo & video shoot at the Al Hazm Mall, world’s most expensive trade and entertainment center located in Qatar. The monumental building took over U.S. $800,000,000 and over 60,000 metric tons (approx. 66,100 U.S. tons) of natural stone to complete.
In designing Al Hazm, architects drew inspiration from shopping arcades found in 18th century Europe. The buildings back then used to have massive arches, cupolas and pillars. Owing to its marketing as a ‘shopping and entertainment center for the rich’, the developer imported stone for the construction from abroad.
Two Audi R8 vehicles – one rear-driven and the other with the 4WD – participated in the shoot. Both were equipped with V10 engines over 5 liters large, rated at between 540 and 610 hp (403 – 455 kW).
The rear-driven Audi R8 was produced as part of a limited series comprised of fewer than 1,000 units.
